Go Deep – How to create your own improv format
Are you fed up of performing the same improv formats? Would you love to create your own improv shows? Do you feel lost knowing where to start?
Come and join Katy as we dive deep into how to create your own Longform format. Katy has been improvising for 18 years and teaching for 11 years, she has created improvisation shows and performed them across the UK and Ireland. Katy specialises in Narrative Longform and has created past shows including The Nearly Famous Five (improvised Enid Blyton) and Four Walls (Monoscene with live countdown timer).
We will explore:
This is a one hour presentation followed by a 30 minutes Q&A session. You will also be sent a recording of the presentation and a workbook. If you are unable to attend the workshop you will still receive the recording and workbook.

About Katy:
Katy Bateson has been an improviser for 16 years and set up her own improvisation company, We Are Improv, in Lancaster in 2011. We Are Improv have performed all over the UK including at Improv Fest Ireland, ImproFest UK and the Bristol Improv Festival.
Katy has trained with Pgraph (The Hideout Theatre, Austin Texas), Jason Chin (iO, Chicago), Rich and Rebecca Sohn (Annoyance Theatre, Chicago), The Maydays (Brighton, London) and Keith Johnstone.
Katy specialises in narrative long form focusing on improvised plays. Past shows that Katy has created and performed in include ‘The Nearly Famous Five’ an improvised Enid Blyton show and ‘Four Walls’ a 50 minute monoscene with 3 actors who have to finish the show when the onstage time hits 00:00.
