Fun with FLOW-rals … again!
Toronto-based CZT Yvonne Westover released her wildly popular FLOW-rals class two years ago. In it, she coached novice and experienced artists through the process of using basic Zentangle® inspired shapes to create stunning botanical images and then bring them to life with watercolor. The result is a relaxing and easy method, no matter one’s artistic background.
Jessica took Yvonne’s class and quickly wound up with a meadow of FLOW-rals in her studio. She also embellished the original tutorial to sprout new designs, eventually branching out with different mediums and techniques.
Back by popular demand, this class will combine the talents of the originator and embellisher of FLOW-rals in one. Both Yvonne and Jessica will demonstrate their methods for creating these gracefully elegant yet whimsical designs in this two hour class presented live on Zoom.
Supplies needed: a handful of watercolor paper cut to any size (3×5, 4×6, 5×7, etc. — variety is great); black pen with waterproof ink (the archival ink in a Micron is great); watercolors of any kind; brush; water; paper towels. (More detail on the supplies will be provided after registration, but this is the basic list.)
We look forward to creating a garden of FLOW-rals with you!
– Jessica & Yvonne
Note: this class is suitable for all skill levels. Participants do not need to be trained in the Zentangle Method® or watercolor techniques, but passing familiarity would be helpful.
