Comics and Illustration Drawing Classes

THE COURSE
The online course of comics and illustration part funded by Waltham Forest council will run from January 2021 to 14thJuly 2021.We will continue the same programme pursued for the past years at Connaught School for Girls and on Facebook with Waltham Forest libraries. THE COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES
Students do not need to have any previous experience of cartoons or illustration as basic drawing techniques are part of the programme.
LESSON STRUCTURE
After an introduction lesson and exercise on the subject delivered by the teacher William Stok, the students will be helped to develop their skills with personalised tuition and one-to-one discussion with the teacher.
WHY JOIN?
You can take part if you are interested to learn to draw any subject matter or if you do cartoons or illustration for fun or you want to pursue this course to enter into a new career.

ABOUT THE TEACHER William Stok has a very long career as a comics designer and illustrator, and as a painter and sculptor.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE He has been teaching all age-groups, from children (during the launch of his children’s books) to secondary and university and college level and at evening classes for adults.
EXPERIENCE AS AN ARTIST He has been publishing in major companies such as Penguin books, Pan books, Time Out, New Scientist, New Society, Company etc and for childrens’ books, making animation films for television and worked in advertising and has exhibited in many galleries
PRIVATE COLLECTIONS His work is in the collections of the Tate gallery, the Victoria &Albert museum, HRH Prince Charles.
