This event is open to all tangle enthusiasts of all levels (some prior Zentangle experience required ).

All tickets include access to the videos of the classes until SpringTangle on April 15, 2023. Please allow approximately 48 hours after the event to receive the links to the videos.
Ticket holders will be invited to join a private Facebook group.
This online event requires the use of Zoom and a reliable internet connection. Live sessions will be recorded or pre-recorded. The event Zoom link will be sent out the week of the event.

Meet your WinterTangle 2023 Instructors:
Angie Gittles, CZT & Founder of Tangled Seasons
Angie became a Certified Zentangle Teacher at session 29 in 2017 a few years after retiring from a lengthy federal government career in Washington, D.C. She attended a refresher recertification in 2022 at Session 39. From a young age, Angie has been a dabbler in all things crafty and artsy-fartsy and is a long-time stamper, card maker, and paper crafter. Angie is pleased to have shared her love of Zentangle through classes at wellness and senior centers, her home, homes of friends, a group foster home, as well as online. She is the founder and creator of the Tangled Seasons series of online Zentangle-inspired retreats and is pleased to be presenting this 3rd Annual WinterTangle event.

Jennifer Matthaei Cottrell, CZT
Jennifer is a Yoga Therapist – IAYT Certified, E-RYT 500, YACEP, Certified Zentangle Teacher, and Reiki Practitioner. As long as she can remember, Jennifer has been obsessed with arts and crafts of all kinds, including embroidery, basket weaving, broom-making, crewel, crocheting, cross-stitching, drawing, needlepoint, painting, pine needle basket weaving, quilting, rust-dyeing, spinning, stained glass, and weaving, to name but a few. In 2011, she discovered Zentangle, and knew immediately that it would be a perfect outward compliment to her inward spiritual journey. In 2013, Jennifer became a Certified Zentangle® Teacher, and has since attended numerous workshops and retreats, both online and in person, and enjoys meeting like-minded travelers. Jennifer says she absolutely loves the way that Zentangle contributes to her daily meditation practice!

Michele Wimmers, CZT, CETiP
Michele started painting with Acrylics over 30 years ago and can’t help but share her passion for decorative painting. Michele has been teaching art classes, including Zentangle (CZT#17) acrylics, colored pencils, and watercolor for over 10 years. She enjoys having her own studio Artful Grace Studio in lovely Havre de Grace, Maryland at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. Having grown up in the Catskills of upstate New York, she loves the great outdoors, skiing, horseback riding, and all animals. Michele currently teaches privately, semi-privately, and online. She enjoys being involved in her church to serve and lead others. Michele writes, “I love to meditate while enjoying God’s lovely creations and feel blessed to use my artistic gifts to glorify God.”

Sheila Grube, CZT
Sheila Grube is a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT17 and 33) living in Pennsylvania. Creating ‘community’, sharing encouragement, positivity and Zen in a relaxing, accepting environment through the teaching of Zentangle is what her calling is all about. She fulfills that calling by offering retreats in her home and studio several times a year, as well as teaching classes on-line. This art method has changed her life with the first stroke of the pen, and in turn, her passion for this art method shines through from the inside out, showing gratitude daily for the journey she is on.
