Quilt Freedom Workshop 34: The Thousand Mile Quilt

Teresa Coates, quilt maker of the first rank, travels the country with her partner Hawke Hamilton as a National Educator for Shannon Fabrics. They will join me to tell road stories and to talk about the kinds of things Teresa makes at Crinkle Dreams Studio. I’ll try to execute one of her designs and pass along some images of great old quilts that seem to have been part of the same family tree of patterns. Fun and full of info–
As always, class will be recorded so you can watch any time for at least a month.
Supplies:
Sewing Machine
Rotary cutter, mat, rulers
Some light colored fabric and a few pieces of bright solids if you have them–otherwise, just bring some strongly contrasting fabrics.
