Learn to draw on-line – Introduction to portraiture

If you have ever wanted to try your hand at portraiture, there is no better place to start than making a series of rapid “thumbnail” sketches. Using faces from magazines, we will look at all the elements that go into a portrait, including how to recognise face types, shapes and expressions.
This really is suitable for all abilities – all you need is a pencil!
Materials list: Pencils of any denomination, a sharpener, plastic eraser, some drawing paper. Optional – tea & biscuits of your choice!
Full demonstration is given throughout and you will have plenty of time for asking questions as we go along. Classes take part on-line using Zoom so please ensure you have a comfortable perch to view your screen and a secure internet connection.
Zoom link and an image to work from will be forwarded a few days before the workshop – please print this out beforehand if you can, however if you have no access to a printer, you will be able to see Hazel’s throughout the workshop on your screen.
