A FEMINIST’S GUIDE TO FUNGI: WATERCOLOUR SESSION!
Back by popular demand, Luisa-Maria MacCormack will bring back this popular workshop from 2022.
Join London Drawing Group’s Luisa-Maria MacCormack for a unique PRACTICAL session dedicated to the intersection between Feminism and Mycology!
This class will be dedicated to painting and drawing Fungi! Using watercolour and pencils, Luisa will guide students through a whole host of drawing exercises that will challenge our perceptions of Fungi, and explore the world of Mushrooms through painting!
We will also explore the wide variety of incredible female artists who have drawn on fungi in their work, both present and past!
YOU WILL NEED:
PENCILS – any kind you like
WATERCOLOURS – a good quality starter pack is totally fine
NICE THICK PAPER – doesn’t have tp be professional watercolour paper but we’d suggest something thick enough to hold water, but smooth enough to work on with pen & pencil
PENS – Any kind of fineliner, or ink and dip pens will be great, we’ll be making some mixed media works with them!
YOU WILL ALSO NEED: SALT, SCISSORS, CLING FILM, MASKING TAPE AND KITCHEN/LOO ROLL (We’ll explain these strange materials- we promise!)

SIGNING IN
Once you have booked your place, you will be able to access information on how to join the event via your Eventbrite “Online Event Page”. You can access this by signing into Eventbrite using the email that you booked with.
RECORDING
The recording will be sent out after the event finishes, within 2 hours of the end of the class. Please add londondrawinggroup@gmail.com to your email contacts to ensure you receive the recording as expected.
